Sid Meier's Civilization V Cheat Codes
5 cheat codes for Sid Meier's Civilization V on PC.
No typed cheat codes exist (Tips)
Civ V has no classic 'rosebud'-style codes — the debug panel and FireTuner are the real cheats.
Open Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini, find DebugPanel = 0 and change it to DebugPanel = 1, save, then start/load a game and press ~ (or the debug key) to open the debug panel.
Enable debug panel (Misc)
In Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini set DebugPanel = 1; in-game the panel reveals gold/faith editing, diplomacy and map data.
DebugPanel = 1
Open Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini, find DebugPanel = 0 and change it to DebugPanel = 1, save, then start/load a game and press ~ (or the debug key) to open the debug panel.
Debug gold edit (Infinite Money)
With the debug panel open you can directly edit your treasury — the Civ V motherlode.
Open Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini, find DebugPanel = 0 and change it to DebugPanel = 1, save, then start/load a game and press ~ (or the debug key) to open the debug panel.
FireTuner (SDK) (Misc)
The free Civ V SDK's FireTuner connects live to a running game and edits cities/units/stats — the legit trainer alternative.
Open Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini, find DebugPanel = 0 and change it to DebugPanel = 1, save, then start/load a game and press ~ (or the debug key) to open the debug panel.
IGE mod tip (Tips)
In-Game Editor (community mod) is the friendlier 'cheat menu' — mention for users who prefer mods over ini edits.
Open Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\config.ini, find DebugPanel = 0 and change it to DebugPanel = 1, save, then start/load a game and press ~ (or the debug key) to open the debug panel.
