Scarab Gun (Weapons)

Obtain a modified Plasma Rifle that fires powerful Scarab Beam blasts, akin to a superweapon, making combat trivial.

Easter Egg location on 'The Ark'

During 'The Ark' mission, navigate to a hidden area requiring precise jumps with a Hornet. The Scarab Gun is found there as a pickup. Has limited ammo and cannot be reloaded.

Feather Skull (Sputnik) (Misc)

Increases player melee power and the force of explosions, making objects and enemies fly much further.

Find and activate 'Sputnik' Skull

Locate the Sputnik Skull hidden in the campaign mission 'Sierra 117' (near a waterfall) and activate it in the campaign menu before starting a mission.

IWHBYD Skull (Easter Egg)

Triggers rare, often humorous, dialogue from enemies and allies, adding comedic elements to combat.

Find and activate 'IWHBYD' Skull

Locate the IWHBYD Skull hidden in the campaign mission 'The Covenant' by performing a specific sequence of jumps/actions on a rotating ring above the control room.

Grunt Birthday Party Skull (Misc)

Headshotting Grunts causes them to explode with confetti and cheering, often accompanied by children's laughter.

Find and activate 'Grunt Birthday Party' Skull

Locate the Grunt Birthday Party Skull hidden in the campaign mission 'Crow's Nest' (behind a fan) and activate it in the campaign menu.

Third-Person View Glitch (Exploit)

Switch the camera to a third-person perspective, offering a unique visual experience of gameplay.

No specific code, exploit camera placement

In Forge mode or custom games, precisely position a camera object within your character model and then delete the camera. This can sometimes force a third-person view for the player.

Iron Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 3x meta-game points. Solo: death restarts the whole level. Co-op: any player death restarts from last checkpoint.

Sierra 117 — on a pipe support above the waterfall near Sgt. Johnson's train depot

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Black Eye Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 1.5x points. Shields no longer regenerate automatically — only melee kills recharge them.

Crow's Nest — on a pipe in the ceiling of the command center, reachable via a jump from stacked crates

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Tough Luck Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 1.5x points. Enemies dodge grenades, projectiles and vehicles much better; Brutes berserk and Grunts kamikaze more often.

Tsavo Highway — under the bridge past the first Shield Barrier, on a ledge

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Catch Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 2x points. NPCs throw far more grenades and always drop two when they die.

The Storm — on a warehouse roof near the scarab battle, jump up via the stacked containers

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Famine Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 2x points. All dropped weapons carry far less ammunition.

The Ark — on a cliff ledge to the right of the canyon path (after the first Forerunner structure)

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Thunderstorm Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 1.5x points. All enemies are promoted to higher ranks.

The Covenant — inside the second tower, on a ledge above the elevator shaft

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Tilt Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 2x points. Enemy resistances/weaknesses to each damage type are amplified.

Cortana — in a circular pit in the bowels of High Charity, near a crashed Pelican

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Mythic Skull (Misc)

GOLD. 2x points. All enemies have double health. The only skull findable on Easy difficulty.

Halo — in the control-room canyon, at the end of the snowy cliff path near the final mission's start

Blind Skull (Easter Egg)

SILVER. Disables your HUD and weapon model. Pure challenge/vanity.

Sierra 117 — hidden in a pond above the first cliff (off the main path)

Grunt Birthday Party Skull (Easter Egg)

SILVER. Headshots on Grunts trigger confetti and the sound of children cheering. The series' most beloved gag.

Crow's Nest — in a dark side tunnel near the barracks area

Start the level from the beginning on Normal difficulty or higher, find the skull hidden in the mission, and grab it. Once collected, activate it from the Campaign lobby before starting a mission. Skulls do NOT need to be carried to level end (IWHBYD is the only exception).

Cowbell Skull (Misc)

SILVER. Explosion force on objects is massively increased (physics toy).

IWHBYD Skull (Easter Egg)

SILVER ('I Would Have Been Your Daddy'). Rare enemy dialogue becomes common. The ONLY skull you must carry to the end of the level — and it has the famous ring-jumping puzzle.

The Covenant — jump the glowing Halo rings in the correct order after defeating the Prophet

Hayabusa Armor Unlock (Unlock All)

Collecting 5 skulls unlocks the Hayabusa chest, 9 unlocks the shoulders, and all 13 unlock the helmet for multiplayer. Skulls are permanent once collected and can be toggled in the Campaign lobby.
